A2K4D is part of three global partnerships focused on research:

Access to Knowledge Global Academy

The Access to Knowledge Global Academy (A2KGA) connects academic centers around the world with the goal of advancing access to knowledge through research, capacity building and engaging academics, policymakers and other members of society. A2KGA was launched in collaboration with institutes in Brazil, China, South Africa and the United States, and has since grown to include many others.

The Open African Innovation Research and Training Network (Open A.I.R.) invests in pan-African research, networking, capacity building and policy engagement. The project’s central aim is to investigate how intellectual property regimes can be harnessed in Africa to facilitate innovation through collaboration. The project has four institutional hubs in Africa, and A2K4D is the base for its North African hub.


The Open A.I.R. network includes:

 Network of Internet and Society Centers (NoC)

 

 

A2K4D had joined the interdisciplinary Global Network of Internet and Society Research Centers (NoC) in 2013. NoC is a collaborative initiative among academic institutions with focus on interdisciplinary research on the development, social impact, policy implications and legal issues concerning the Internet. This collective aims to increase interoperability between participating centers in order to stimulate the creation of new cross-national, cross-disciplinary conversation, debate, teaching, learning, and engagement regarding the most pressing questions around new technologies, social change, and related policy and regulatory developments.
