AUC School of Business Alumnus Recognized for His Innovative Teaching and Impactful Research

AUC School of Business alumnus, Samer Sarofim ‘13, has recently received four prestigious awards from major American marketing organizations. He received the awards in recognition of his excellence in research and innovative marketing teaching methods.

Sarofim was awarded Best Paper in Consumer Behavior Track, one of the most competitive tracks of The American Marketing Association (AMA) summer conference 2016. AMA is one of the most prominent and globally recognized marketing associations, which publishes two of the most impactful academic marketing journals in the world; namely: Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Research.


The Society for Marketing Advances (SMA) - a premier marketing association that brings together both marketing educators and professionals from the United States and abroad – awarded Sarofim two noticeable awards: The Pearson Education Michael Solomon Best Paper in Consumer Behavior Track and The Retailing Track Best Paper Award. These two awards recognize best peer-reviewed competitive research papers in Consumer Behavior and Retailing.

Last but not least, Sarofim received Outstanding Teacher-Scholar Doctoral Student Award, from the Marketing Management Association (MMA), which recognizes excellence, innovativeness, and impact in teaching and scholarship. He presented a demonstration of his teaching methodology at the MMA Fall 2016 Conference in Rhode Island.

“I trust that these achievements come to reflect the excellence of the entire AUC community that rigorously prepared me to compete at such a high level of excellence.” Sarofim reflected adding that AUC, its School of Business, professors, colleagues and staff played a vital role in his journey of success.

Sarofim is an award-winning marketing scholar and educator who has over 13 years of experience in business consultancy and marketing research. He is also a certified professional trainer of corporate employees and managers. Sarofim hold a PhD in business marketing from The University of Kansas; he received his MBA from AUC School of Business in 2013, and his Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ain Shams University.
