The Department of Public Policy and Administration (PPAD) was launched in 2009 as part of a restructuring process that also resulted in the establishment of AUC’s School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Graduate study in public administration has a long and distinguished history at AUC, dating back to the mid-1960s when public administration was first offered as a specialization as part of the master’s in management.
