Since 2011, AUC's Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JRMC) and the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX)
have hosted a faculty and student exchange. Although both educational units offer journalism as a program of study, DJMX's practical approach is complementary to provide JRMC multimedia journalism students immersion in the discipline from an international perspective. During their semester in Denmark at DMJX and as student journalists, they cover stories in Aarhus
, where DMJX is located, as well as Copenhagen and other areas in Europe.
Here is one example of a final project produced by a JRMC student who participated in the exchange. The student, Hala Maklouf, researched and produced all of the content for the website Escaping Limbo
about asylum seekers in Denmark.
JRMC DMJX alum have gone on to careers in the international media in journalism, marketing and more.
Here is the outline of the Journalism, Multimedia and World Politics program
that students will participate in while at DJMX.
