Register Thursday, September 1, 2016 starting at 9 am for Adopt-a-Plot’s fall 2016 growing season!
Interested in learning to grow your own vegetables or just getting out in the fresh air? We have 25 garden plots available at RISE for you and your partner(s) to plant and harvest your own organic vegetables. Each plot is required to have at least two participants. There is a LE 400 fee for each plot (LE 100 is refunded if the plot is cleared by January 22, 2017). Current AUC students, faculty and staff are eligible. Please note the following dates and guidelines:
Adopt-a-Plot Orientation Session: Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm in The Hatem and Janet Mostafa Core Academic Building, room 122
Planting Days: Sunday - Thursday, September 25 - 29, 2016: RISE staff members will be on-site from 9 am to 4 pm
Water cut-off: December 15, 2016 for participants who have not notified RISE of their intention to continue until January 22, 2016
Final harvest: January 22, 2016: Participants need to clear plots on or before this date. If you clear your plot and move the plants to the compost pile, you can get a LE 100 refund on your plot fees.
