Adham Center's MA in Television and Digital Journalism Accredited by Supreme Council of Universities
June 10, 2018 – the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism's Master of Arts program received full official accreditation from the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU). The decision was issued No. 187, dated June 3, 2018, and was signed by the President of the SCU, HE Dr. Khaled Atef Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The SCU decision states that the Master of Arts program in Television and Digital Journalism offered by the Kamal Adham Center at the American University in Cairo, is equivalent to any professional master’s degree in media and communication offered by Egyptian universities in the same field of study. Based on this decision, no equivalency or recognition will be needed from graduates of the Kamal Adham Center to work in any public, private or independent broadcast or electronic media entities, organizations, or syndicates in Egypt or in the Arab region. Adham Center Director, Dr. Hussein Amin, announced the news and stated that the next move for the Adham Center will be to seek international accreditation from a top globally recognized accreditation agency in the field of television and digital media and communication.
