The Psychology Unit in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology and Egyptology at The American University in Cairo started is currently offering counseling services to the AUC community during the 2014 - 2015 academic year. These services are free of charge and confidential, and are available to AUC students, faculty, staff and alumni. The counselors-in-training, who are under direct and strict supervision by psychology faculty members, can help you deal with a wide variety of issues, including:

You will be able to share your concerns with the counselors-in-training who will help you explore the roots of your difficulties and develop improved coping skills in order to address your concerns. They may also help you identify your own personal strengths, experience personal growth, enhance your resilience and improve your self-confidence. The counselors-in-training are trained to provide:
