Access Online Resources
The AUC Library subscribes to a large collection of electronic resources, including electronic journals, books, indexes, abstracts and statistical databases. By license agreement, the library is permitted to provide full access to certain categories of users though limited access to others.
The following categories of users can access most subscribed resources from both on or off campus using their AUC email username and password.
- Currently enrolled AUC undergraduate and graduate students
- Current AUC faculty members
- Current Adjunct AUC faculty members
- AUC Emeritus professors and librarians
- Current AUC full-time staff members
- Current SCE full-time faculty members
AUC graduate students working on their theses (though not enrolled) may request off-campus access for one semester. The graduate student’s thesis adviser must submit an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, stating the student’s name and AUC ID number. The adviser must confirm that the student is working on his/her thesis, though not enrolled. At the end of the semester, access will be terminated. Access will be restored when the student registers again.
AUC faculty and staff members on an approved leave-of-absence may request off-campus
access for up to one year. The requester’s department head must submit an email to email@example.com, stating the employee’s name and AUC ID number, and confirming his/her last work date and return to work date. The department head must also email if the employee’s status or leave changes.
The following categories of users may access subscribed resources while on campus ONLY. No off-campus access is allowed.
- AUC part-time staff members
- SCE part-time faculty, staff and students
- Faculty spouses
