The bulk of the Rare Books and Special Collections Library's map holdings relate to twentieth-century Egypt, with atlases and sets produced by the Survey of Egypt in the 1930s and 1940s. Maps of Cairo, including tourist maps and plans of historical sections of the city, can also be found. Some maps for other Arab countries in North Africa and the Arabian peninsula are also available. In addition, many of the library's travel accounts contain maps of Egypt and the wider region, dating back to the seventeenth century.

Several maps can be found in our Digital Library in the Historic Maps Digital Collection.
