The American University in Cairo’s Falaki Theater and Gallery is managed by the School of Continuing Education, and is located in the heart of downtown Cairo in AUC Tahrir Square Campus at the Falaki Academic Center. The venue consists of two levels in a theater-style tiered fixed seating and a gallery. 

AUC Falaki Theater & Gallery is a contemporary performing arts and music space dedicated to presenting theater, music and dance events, thus giving independent artists and underground groups, opportunities to present and share their creative work. 

AUC Falaki Theater & Gallery hosts a variety of local events of the highest caliber. AUC Falaki Theater & Gallery offers the local community opportunities to interact with renowned guest artists, directors, designers and performers who come to feature their work at the Falaki Theater.

Both the theater and the gallery space are available for all year round rentals of all types.

6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Al- Tagroba al Denimarkeya is a social comedy show. It started from an improvisation workshop about the effect of art on Egyptian youth and their families. The story is about a traditional Egyptian family that is very concerned about their son’s artistic dreams and ambitions. They see them as useless and a waste of time especially and want him to get a regular stable and secure job. The young man doesn’t give up on his dream and fights the traditional ideas of his family. The events develop and the family find themselves deeply involved in the study of the Hamlet text. A play where their son is playing the lead role: Hamlet. What made them so involved in text is it being the only way to save their son from the disorder that he developed. Ticket Price: LE. 50 and LE. 75.
