Pre-Semester Survival Arabic
The course covers a variety of familiar everyday expressions aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Learners will develop the ability to introduce themselves and ask and answer questions about personal details; handle interactions such as taking a taxi, asking and giving directions; dealing with money; shopping for food, clothes, etc… and emergencies. Though Arabic letters are included, yet the emphasis is on the development of the learner’s speaking and listening skills.
This is an intensive 20-hour course in spoken Arabic of Cairo, offered twice a year before the fall and spring semesters to International students joining AUC.
